About VFW Post 970

Welcome to the Colonel Horace Hickam Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 970. Chartered on Hickam AFB, Hawaii in 1980, we are the most active VFW Post in the state of Hawaii.

A large portion of our membership comes from the National Guard, Reserve, and Active Duty members working on Hickam AFB, Pearl Harbor,  and Fort Shafter.  The other big part of our membership comes from the Veterans' community living in the surrounding area.

We currently meet outside the main gate of Hickam AFB/Pearl Harbor at the Pearl Harbor-Honolulu Branch 46 Fleet Reserve Association (FRA), 891 Valkenburg Ave. at 1900 hrs. (7:00 P.M.) on the second Tuesday of each month, except tentatively in June due to the VFW Department of Hawaii State Convention.
